How much each month

€333.34

Save €333.34 a month for 12 months. Last payment in September 2027.

How it's calculated

The calculator subtracts what you already have from the goal and divides the rest by the number of months left. It rounds up to the cent so you don't fall short.

Saving starts this month. A goal for a month a year from now means 12 monthly payments, the last one in the month before. In reverse, it divides the amount you still need by your monthly saving and rounds up to whole months.

Interest isn't included. With savings accounts paying little, leaving it out keeps the plan on the safe side.

Questions people ask

How much should I save each month?

Divide what you still need by the months you have. Many people start with 10 to 20% of their net income.

Does the calculator include interest?

No. It assumes your savings don't grow, so the monthly amount is a safe upper estimate.

How big should an emergency fund be?

Three to six months of essential costs is the common advice. Use your rent, bills and groceries as the base.

What if I miss a month?

Run the numbers again with your new balance. The monthly amount goes up a little for the months left.
