Where Went

Legal

Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use Where Went at wherewent.com (the "service"). The service is run by Miroslav Petrov, a private individual in Bulgaria ("we", "us"). By signing in, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. What Where Went is

Where Went is a free web app for keeping track of your own money by hand: you record accounts, income, expenses and transfers, and the app shows totals, balances and spending by category.

Where Went does not connect to banks, does not move or hold money, does not process payments, and does not ask for card or bank details. It is a record-keeping tool, not a bank, payment service or financial adviser.

2. Free of charge

The service is free. There are no fees, subscriptions, ads or in-app purchases, and we never ask for payment details. If that ever changes, we will tell you in advance and nothing will be charged without your explicit agreement.

3. Your account

You sign in with a Google account. You must be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for keeping your Google account secure and for what happens under your account.

You can delete your account at any time from the account menu in the app. This permanently deletes your account and everything you entered.

4. Acceptable use

When using the service, you agree not to:

  • break the law or use the service for fraud, money laundering or other illegal purposes;
  • enter personal data about other people unless you are allowed to;
  • try to access other users' data, probe or break the service's security, or disrupt it (for example with excessive automated requests);
  • copy, scrape or resell the service, or use it to build a competing product.

5. Your data

What you enter stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the service for you. We don't sell it, use it for advertising or share it, except with the providers that host the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter. Keep your own copy of anything important: like any online service, Where Went can have outages or data problems.

6. No financial advice

Totals, balances and charts are calculated from what you enter and are for your information only. They are not financial, tax, legal or investment advice. Check important figures yourself before relying on them.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the service running and your data safe, but we provide it free and "as is", without a guarantee that it will always be available or error-free. We may change, add or remove features. If we decide to shut the service down, we will announce it at least 30 days in advance, so you have time to request a copy of your data.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, or decisions you make based on the service, and our total liability is limited to the damage that was foreseeable when you started using the service.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, including liability for intent or gross negligence, or for death or personal injury. If you are a consumer, your mandatory consumer rights are not affected.

9. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, or where the law requires it. Where reasonable, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. A suspended user can't sign in; their data is kept until the account is deleted.

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For significant changes, we will give at least 14 days' notice on the website or in the app before they take effect. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can delete your account.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria. If you are a consumer living in another EU country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of that country, and you can bring a claim in the courts where you live.
